SHOULD I SEE A NEUROLOGIST?

You might from an appointment with a neurologist if you show signs of a neurological disorder, such as:

​

  • persistent, altered or severe headaches

  • muscle weakness

  • confusion

  • dizziness

  • loss of coordination

  • partial or complete paralysis

  • tiredness

  • involuntary movement

  • sleep disorders

  • anxiety

  • depression

  • Altered senses (loss of smell, taste, sensation etc)

  • memory alterations

  • etc, etc

  • Neurologists can perform various procedures to help them diagnose and treat neurological conditions. However, if a person requires surgery, their neurologist or primary care doctor will refer them to a neurosurgeon.
